Alexis Everhart is the founder and director of Memento Mori Doula. Her compassion and empathy makes her a welcome companion when navigating such an emotion filled and overwhelming time. Alexis’s background as a researcher and producer for film, tv and advertising gives her the organizational skills it takes to plan for major life events and execute them precisely according to her clients’ wishes. In other words, she get things done. She trained at the University of Vermont in the End of Life Doula Program for humans, animals and grief and bereavement. She volunteers on the Contemplative Care Team at Hopewell House, the Portland Action Team for Compassion and Choices and is helping with the grief resource library at The Lantern. Alexis is a member of NEDA, INELDA, the National Home Funeral Alliance and the PDX Deathworkers Collective. She is curious, creative, an avid reader and always seeking to expand her knowledge about death and compassionate care at end of life.
